No Social Tomorrow – New Ideas (and Bowling Night Option!)

Brothers,

There will be no social tomorrow evening.

Take a look at this setup 👇
We have access to the VIP Room at Escape — 8 private lanes, space for up to 50 people, and a wall of screens for every game (plus 20+ TVs in the main area).

This is more than bowling — you can:

  • Bowl
  • Or just relax and watch the games
  • Bring your spouse and enjoy the night
  • Full Menu and Bar

I’d like to make this our standing option when nothing else is planned:
🎳 Bowling & Hangout Night at Escape: $30 per person for 90 minutes of bowling, shoes and appetizers. $10 per person to hang out and appetizers.

At the same time, I want to invite each of you to step up and lead a future social.

Simple ideas are all it takes:

  • Pizza & Game Night – Order pizza, bring cards/board games, easy night at the DC
  • Wings & Watch Night – Pick a game, grab wings, relax and watch together
  • Ice Cream with Families – Casual meetup, bring spouses/kids, low effort
  • Backyard BBQ – Host at home, grill basics, everyone brings a side
  • Euchre or Poker Night – Simple card night, a little competition and fun
  • Brewery or Coffee Meetup – Laid-back conversation, no structure needed
  • Service + Meal – Help for an hour, then share a meal together: Think Steve Duffy and St. Vincent de Paul — we know many needy neighbors in our own area.
  • Movie Night – Projector at DC, popcorn, easy group activity. We can ask Escape to play our own movie on those huge screens in the VIP Room
  • Golf Simulator / Topgolf – Fun, no skill required, great for groups
  • Bring-a-Friend Night – Each Knight invites one guest, great for recruiting

If you’ve ever thought, “We should do this…” — now’s your chance.

No pressure. No perfection needed. Just initiative.

If no one steps up for a month, we default to bowling — but I know we’ve got better ideas in this group.

Let’s build something we all look forward to.

P.S. We’ve had a lot of great new Knights join this past year — this is a perfect time to bring some fresh energy and ideas.

Vivat Jesus,
Ed Bahoura Grand Knight
